I accepted a position at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and held tenure as the Director of La Casa Cultural Latina (UIUC's Latino cultural center) 1990-2005, until my promotion to the Office of the Dean of Students as an Assistant Dean of Students 2005-2015 and subsequently promoted to Assistant Director, Office of Diversity, Equity and Access, Office of the Chancellor, 2015 until my retirement in 2018.
